Landscape Architect / Designer

Wyer & Co. are looking for a Landscape Architect or Designer to join our vibrant team.

We are seeking someone for a full time position, working with an experienced team of Landscape Architects, Designers & Horticulturalists in our Potts Point studio.

To be considered for this role you must have previous experience working as a Landscape Architect / Designer with strong Vectorworks (preferred) or AutoCad skills, and experience working on projects from the conceptual stage through to detailed documentation. We are looking for a driven and passionate candidate with enthusiasm for advancing their knowledge, and growth within the company.

An ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Qualification in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Design
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate experience
  • High proficiency in Vectorworks (preferred) or AutoCad
  • Experience working with clients and managing end to end design projects
  • Proficiency in preparing landscape concept plans, DA / CC / CDC plans, design development and detailed documentation
  • Experience in council development processes and legislations for DA, CC & CDC’s
  • Working knowledge of BCA, Standards & NSW planning framework
  • Extensive plant and horticulture knowledge
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail

Remuneration is negotiable pending experience

Today, working under the guidance of founder Anthony Wyer, the business has grown organically with a team of 30 engaged in design, construction and maintenance.

Qualified & Experienced Tradesman

Wyer & Co. is seeking to employ a highly motivated individual to join our landscape construction division.  The role involves working as part of a team to install high quality gardens created by the Wyer & Co. design team.

Your duties and skills include but are not limited to the following:

  • Proficient in reading/understanding landscape plans & implementing with intent
  • Hard landscaping knowledge and experience – Decking/ Tiling/ Concrete/ Retaining Walls/ Drainage etc
  • Soft landscaping knowledge and experience – Planting/ Soils/ Turfing/ Irrigation Systems etc

The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum Cert 3 in Landscape Construction or similar tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the landscape industry
  • Skilled knowledge installing a wide range of hard and soft landscape elements
  • Extensive knowledge of plant species and planting procedures
  • Experience installing automated irrigation systems
  • The ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • A passion for constructing high quality gardens
  • Hold current drivers licence
  • OH&S White card

Salary is negotiable pending experience.

Horticulturalist / Experienced Gardener

Wyer & Co. is seeking to employ a highly motivated individual to join our leading garden maintenance division.  This full time role involves working with a small team to care for and continue to enhance our high quality gardens, with the utmost attention to detail.

You duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Working with a small team to complete high quality garden maintenance
  • General garden maintenance – hedging, pruning of trees & shrubs lawn mowing etc
  • Fertilising, mulching, detailed garden maintenance
  • Soft landscaping – Planting, installing irrigation, laying turf
  • A range of other horticultural duties

The successful applicant will possess the following attributes.

  • Experience in the Horticulture industry
  • Tertiary qualification in Horticulture preferable
  • Experience operating and maintaining small horticultural equipment
  • The ability to identify and treat pests and diseases
  • Experience with automated irrigation systems
  • The ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Desire to deliver garden maintenance of the highest quality
  • A keen eye for detail
